This soap comes in a nice black cardstock box. It has the look and feel of a specialty product. The box includes a black drawstring mesh pouch for hanging. The soap is a dark charcoal color (not dark teal as in the product photos) and molded nicely. The scent is primarily peppermint and every bit as invigorating as you'd expect peppermint to be - particularly helpful when experiencing a head or chest cold. There is no coffee scent from the espresso grounds which are there for exfoliation. This product, while unisex, has a distinct masculine feel. It is apparent that care was put into every part of production - the design, the packaging, the ingredients, the molding. I like this more than a few $20 bars of soap I've gotten. If you are into really exfoliating, both sides of the bar have a rough texture for just getting in there. I don't really have that preference though. The bar smells, as advertised, a combo of espresso and peppermint. Smelled just like Christmas coffee to me. It lathers pretty well even in hard water. The lather is unsurprisingly a bit dark. It felt gentle on my skin and didn't dry me out at all. The peppermint is really where this shines through. I ordered the Pine Tar Espresso Soap Bar. First impression was the strong peppermint scent. I love mint, so this was a great impressions. This is packaged nicely and the soap bar has such a pretty design on it (it would be lovely in a guest bath.) This soap lathers nicely into a soft and rich foam. The scent is strong mint, which I like, but it overpowers the supposed coffee scent that should be there. The soap leaves me feeling squeaky clean - not too dried out and doesn't leave any kind of film. Overall I really like this as a mint scented soap, but if you're looking for coffee, skip it. First thing I noticed when the box arrived from amazon was the box smelled great. There were a few items in the box and they I got to this product. I decided to use this as a hand/face wash bar of soap instead of putting it in the shower and forgetting about like I typically do. It cleans well and lathers perfectly. This soap is beautiful and came packaged in a lovely box that would make it a nice gift. It has a strong pine scent that actually lingers after you use it, but I couldn�t detect as much of the coffee scent in it.
